There is No “I” in Horse

How often do we the human take all the credit for a team effort with our horse?  Statements like “I trained him” and “I win” can be heard around the world on any showgrounds or in any barn where the greatness of the horse and rider team is not valued.  As the riders that you all are take a step back from the spotlight of “I” and replace it with “We”.  A wholeness is achieved by making one simple change in the statement.  Don’t be afraid to glorify your horse.  Without a solid team there are no successful trail rides, no great barrel patterns, and no flying lead changes. Remember that your horse has no idea there isn’t an “I” in Horse…. Until we teach him.  In the horses mind it is always “We”.
